Born in Chicago, I grew up in Arlington Heights, IL, and graduated from Moody Bible Institute and the American Conservatory of Music. I’ve lived in Wheaton, IL, with my husband, Jim, since we married in 1974. We have been blessed with three sons, one daughter-in-law, and one grandson. My husband and I are members of College Church, Wheaton, IL, where I have served as a Deaconess, Bible Study leader, and member of the Pastoral Search Committee.
I’ve written about 20 books, which have been published by Tyndale, Crossway, InterVarsity, Christian Art, and Hope. Links to these books are included on this page. Some of these books have been translated into German, Chinese, Dutch, and Afrikaans for distribution around the world.
The best part of my day is rising early and reading from my One-Year Bible – New Living Translation. I enjoy reading (mostly) non-fiction books, walking with friends, representing Tyndale House Publishers with my husband at publishing conferences around the world, and taking beach vacations with my family.
